Qatar Stock Exchange Index Drops 302.64 Points This Week

Doha, – Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 302.64 points (-2.79%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,534.10 points. Trading value during this week decreased by 15.05%to reach QR 1,447,077,971.97 compared to QR 1,703,482,235.92.

Trading volume decreased by 12.33% to reach 32,207,109 shares, as against 36,737,252 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 9.70%, to reach 25,450 transactions as compared to 23,200 transactions.

Market capitalization fell by 2.68% to reach QR 565,186,001,699.30 as compared to QR 580,732,453,218.64 at the end of previous week.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 45.97% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 22.83%. Telecoms sector accounted for 9.45% and Real Estate sector accounted for 9.19%.

Banking and Financial Services sector led trading volume this week with 37.88% of the total trading volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 18.68%. Industries sector accounted for 16.20% and Telecoms sector accounted 14.20%.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 32.83% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 21.52%. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.03% and Telecoms sector accounted for 12.93%.

From the 44 listed companies 11 ended this week higher, while 32 fell and one unchanged.

QNB led trading value during this week accounted for 20.79% of the total traded value. Industries Qatar accounted for 12.19% and Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 10.84%.
