PALESTINIAN MINISTER: MORE THAN 95 CASES OF VIOLATION AT HOLY SITES IN JERUSALEM

Ramallah, – Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Yousef Adeis, said that Al-Aqsa Mosque has faced an unprecedented increase in the number of violations carried by Israel settlement forces, who currently hold a wide authority in the area.

He added, in a report today that the responsibility to the Al-Aqsa and the holy sites in Jerusalem is the top priority, and all capabilities are to serve Al-Aqsa Mosque, which does not accept the partnership and banning the call to prayer at any mosque is unacceptable.

He explained that during the month of November, the Israeli occupation violated holy sites and cemeteries more than 95 times, continuingly storming Al-Aqsa Mosque, holding provocative tours, rallies, to undermine the Islamic and Arab identity of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, including a plan to expand train rails to extend between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Adeis said that the occupation prevented the call to prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron last month under false pretenses, and continues to follow a humiliating inspection policy against prayers.

Finally, he noted that the so-called Israeli Civil Administration demolished the foundations of Al Farouq mosque in Sur Baher village, located in south-east Jerusalem arguing that the mosque does not hold a permit.
