US Transfers $470m in Aid to Jordan

Amman, Jordan’s Ministry of Planning and International Development announced Saturday that the United States had transferred $470 million in director aid to the treasury as part of $812 million agreements signed by Jordan and the US.

According to Jordan Petra news agency, the US government had allotted $25 million to Jordan as part of the Global Concessional Financing Facility launched in April by the United Nations, the World Bank and the Islamic development Bank to reduce the cost of borrowing for middle-income countries like Jordan.
