Kingdom's Wholesale Prices Index Down 0.7% in November

Riyadh, Rabi’I 21, 1438, Dec 20, 2016, SPA — The index of wholesale prices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia fell by 0.7% in November compared to October 2016.
In its latest report issued today, General Authority for Statistics said that the index went down by 0.7% compared to the previous month (October 2016) and reached (160.7) points compared to (161.8 points) in the previous month.
The index includes 10 main sections; the section of food and live animals; the section of beverages and tobacco; the section of raw materials except fuels; the section of Mineral fuels and related products; the section of animal and vegetable oils and fats; the section of chemicals and related products; the section of manufactured goods; the section of machinery and transport equipment; the section of miscellaneous manufactured goods and the section of other goods.
The report attributed the decrease of the index of wholesale prices for November to the decline in seven of the main constituent sections of the index, where the section of other goods went down by (3.2); the section of food and live animals by (1.8%); the section of machinery and transport equipment by (0.8%); the section of chemicals and related products by (0.4%); the section of miscellaneous manufactured goods by (0.3%) and the section of beverages and tobacco by (0.1%).
