Qatar Stock Exchange Index Gains 203.78 Points This Week

Doha, Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 203.78 points (+1.99%) this week when the bourse closed at 10,427.91 points.

Trading value during this week decreased by 31.99% to reach QR 1,108,831,218.38 compared to QR 1,630,502,507.29 Trading volume decreased by 43.09% to reach 31,291,954 shares, as against 54,988,111 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 30.29%, to reach 15,229 transactions as compared to 21,845 transactions.

Market capitalization rose by 2.01% to reach QR 562,086,757,187.51 as compared to QR 551,013,180,059.62 at the end of previous week.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 54.08% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 14.83%. Real Estate sector accounted for 12.80% and Telecoms sector accounted for 6.39%.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 40.44% of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 23.76%. Telecoms sector accounted for 15.32% and Industries sector accounted for 9.12%.

Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 40.48% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 20.67%. Real Estate sector accounted for 15.66% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 7.72%.

From the 44 listed companies 26 ended this week higher, while 16 fell and two unchanged.

Masraf Al Rayan led trading value during this week accounted for 20.45% of the total trading value. QNB accounted for 19.61% and Industries Qatar accounted for 5.39%.
