Qatar Participates In World Economic Forum /Davos/

Doha, The State of Qatar will participate in annual meeting of the Davos World Economic Forum which is held on January 20th , with a delegation led by HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani.

This year’s meeting is held under the theme of “Responsive and Responsible Leadership” and will be attended by a number of economy ministers and economic leaders from the Group of Twenty(G20) and more than 1000 executive managers, heads of companies, leaders in the business field, community influencers, experts and academics.

The main topics to be discussed are international cooperation, finding a joint identity, reform capitalism and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The forum will highlight many topics mainly shaping the future of consumption, shaping the future of digital economy and society, shaping the future of economic growth and social inclusion, shaping the future of education, gender and work, shaping the future of international trade and investment, shaping the future of food security and agriculture and shaping the future of information and entertainment.

In addition, the forum will also discuss shaping the future of long-term investing, infrastructure and development and shaping the future of production.

The World Economic Forum was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is independent, impartial and not tied to any special interests.

The annual meeting is held in Davos and attended by a large number of government official and influential businessmen in the global economy.

The annual meeting aims to provide a communication platform and exchange of ideas between participants, it is also considered a good opportunity to authenticate bilateral relations with different countries and global companies.
