Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce Praises Economic Ties with Qatar

Doha, Chairman of the Jordan and the Arab chambers of commerce Nael Raja Al Kabariti said today that bilateral ties between Jordan and Qatar have strengthened due to the two countries’ leadership.

He also praised the efforts of both governments in enhancing ties and seeking to coordinate their positions continuously. Al Kabariti was speaking to Qatari newspaper Al Watan in today’s issue and said that Jordan is committed to its ties with Qatar and is constantly looking at ways to up cooperation.

On the Qatari – Jordanian economic forum that was held recently in Doha, Al Kabariti said that the event garnered great attention from the business community in both countries. It also represented a suitable time to explore economic and investment opportunities available in both countries.

He called on increasing bilateral trade volume and establishing joint projects. The chairman of the Jordanian chamber of commerce noted that the recent instability in the Middle-East and the high cost of transport have had a negative effect on trade between Arab nations. Kabaritli noted that Arab countries exported a total of $105.5 billion to one another, which is 10% of total Arab exports.
