QOC Receives Letters of Congratulations from KSF and ASC

Doha, August 17 (QNA) – The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) received letters of congratulations from the Kuwait Shooting Sport Federation (KSF) and the Asian Shooting Confederation (ASC) on occasion of winning two bronze medals at the 2012 London Olympic Games by Nasser Al-Attiyah in Skeet Competition and Mutaz Barshim in High Jump Competition.
 In a letter sent by President of the KSF and the ASC Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al Sabah to HE Secretary General of the QOC Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrhaman Al Thani, HE Sheikh Salman congratulated the Qatari sports family on the achievements accomplished at London Olympics and praised the Qatari contributions to the development of GCC and Asian Shooting. HH the Emir Condoles Moroccan King

Doha, August 17 (QNA) – HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco on the death of his aunt Lalla Amina. (QNA) 

Eid Al Fitr Starts Sunday

Doha, August 17 (QNA) – The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Religious Affairs on Friday announced that tomorrow, Saturday , will be a complement for the holy month of Ramadan and that next Sunday is the beginning of Shawwall , the tenth month of the Islamic Calendar and the first day of Eid Al Fitr, or Lesser Bairam.
     This came in a statement the said committee released Friday evening following its meeting held at the ministry headquarters.

The crescent sighting Committee, while announcing this is asking Allah the Almighty to accept our fasting and prayers in hope of reward, and benefit of our acts .
     The aforesaid Committee siezes this opportunity to convey to HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani,  and HH the Heir Apparent, the wise government, the Qatari people and all Muslims deepest congratulations and blessings, praying to Aallah the Almighty to recur this opportunity to all good and blessing.
    The said committee met under the chairmanship of reverend Sheikh Dr. Thaqeel Bin Sayer al–Shammari Chairman of the crescent sighting Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. (Eqna)

Dubai Health Authority announces primary healthcare centers timings during Eid

Dubai: All primary healthcare centers will remain closed during the first day of Eid. They will be open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm during the second and third day of the festival, the Dubai Health Authority announced today.

All primary healthcare centers will remain open from 9 am to 2 pm during the 30th day of the Holy month of Ramadan. Al Safa and Al Mamzar, will be the two centers open during the evenings on the 29th and 30th day of the Holy month of Ramadan. They will be open from 8:30 pm to 12:00 pm.

The DHA has wished Eid greetings to all.

Municipal centers to receive customers from 7 am to 5 pm after Eid holidays

Abu Dhabi: The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City announced that Customer Service Centers would resume receiving the public at the Head Office as usual from 07:00 am up to 05:00 pm, and at External Centers from 07:00 am to 03:00 pm after the end of Eid Al-Fitre holidays.

The move is aimed to serve customer needs and sustain the rising tempo of transaction processing to meet the expectations and serve the interests of our valued customers.

The Customer Service Centers have processed 22 thousand transactions during the holy month of Ramadan. A report compiled by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City states more than 22 thousand transactions were processed including more than 11 thousand transactions related to the issuance of consumption materials supplied through the two Foodstuffs Distribution Centers at Abu Dhabi and Musaffah, whereas about 2,000 transactions were related to the health inspection operations supplementing customers transactions, and licensing of activities. More than 10 thousand transactions related to lands have also been processed.

The report stated that Customer Service Centers have upgraded the service offering process as it managed over the past three months to process more than 123 thousand different transactions; with May witnessing the process of more than 21 thousand transactions through Foodstuffs Distribution Centers, and transaction processing clocked more than 22 thousand in June and 23 thousand in July. In the field of following up health inspection operations relating to licensing of activities, more than 1,600 transactions have been processed in May, 1,500 transactions in June and 1,700 transactions in July in addition to several transactions and services rendered to customers during the same period.

UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan holds Iftar banquet

Abu Dhabi: UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan has hosted the Ramadan iftar banquet in Ashgabat as part of its efforts to sustain communications with Turkmenistan’s community.

Present were Mufti of Turkmenistan, ambassadors, diplomats, representatives of UAE companies, businesspersons and other dignitaries.
