Khalifa orders dispatch of plane to bring Emiratis injured in Oman car accidents

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered dispatch of a plane with medical specialists and officers from the Interior Ministry onboard, to bring back four Emiratis and two Yemenis who were injured in two separate accidents in Oman, to complete their treatment in the UAE.

According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, two roll over accidents took place today in the Omani Province of Thumrait in which four Emiratis and two Yemenis were severely injured. The injured Emiratis and Yemeni were taken to the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah. Investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.

Last Monday, bodies of seven Emirati family members, a father and six children killed in a car accident in Oman, as well as the seriously injured mother, were evacuated onboard two planes from Oman to the UAE, on orders from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
