HE Prime Minister Presides Over Cabinet Regular Meeting

Doha, November 28 (QNA) – HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani presided over the regular cabinet meeting held on Wednesday at its Emiri Diwan premises.
 The cabinet considered topics tabled on the agenda as follows:
 First: Approving a draft decision of the cabinet for establishing the Permanent Committee for Transport Regulation.
 Second: Approving a draft decision of the cabinet on establishing Tenders and Auctions Committee at the Interior Ministry.
 Third: Approving a draft decision of the Environment Minister on adopting GCC technical regulations as Qatari technical regulations and GCC standard specifications as Qatari specifications.
 Fourth: The cabinet reviewed the two following topics and adopted the relevant decision:
  A- The letter of Justice Minister on the outcome of the 24th meeting of the GCC Justice Ministers, held in Riyadh in October 2012.
   B- The letter of the National Committee on Arms Embargo concerning the 23rd report of the Committee’s work during the period from 1/5/2012 to  31/8/2012.
 Fifth: The cabinet approves the following:
  A- A draft agreement on Maritime Commercial Transport and Ports between the Governments of Qatar and Algeria.
  B- A draft memorandum of understanding on Trilateral Cooperation for the benefit of African countries between the Governments of Qatar and Morocco.
  C- A draft memorandum of cooperation in the field of Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technical and Vocational Education between the Governments of Qatar and New Zealand.
  D- A twinning agreement between the cities of Doha and Sofia.
  E- A draft agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income between the Governments of Qatar and Fiji.
  F- A draft agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income between the Governments of Qatar and Barbados. (QNA)
