Railway chief meets French economic counselor

Dammam, Safar 20, 1437, December 02, 2015, SPA — The General President of Saudi Railways Organization Engineer Mohammed bin Khalid Al-Suwaiket met at the organization’s headquarters in Dammam today with the Economic Counselor and Chief of French embassy’s economic department Philip Ghasman and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, prominent railway projects, planned or currently under implementation, were highlighted by Engineer Al-Suwaiket who also casts light on the investment opportunities of interest to western countries, particularly noting the interest of the organization to enter into joint ventures with France, known of its advanced railway systems and industries.
The meeting also reviewed the Kingdom’s future railway projects, which include the GCC link railway.
For his part, the economic counselor said the visit provided him with a good chance to get acquainted to the plans of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of railways, noting that his country welcomes the invitation extended by Saudi railways for cooperation between the Kingdom and France in what he called “attractive and motivating projects”.
