Prince Khalid Al-Faisal honors winners of Arab Thought Foundation's Awards

Cairo, Safar 26, 1437, December 08, 2015, SPA — In the presence of Prince Khalid al-Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Governor of Makkah Region and the Chairman of the Arab Thought Foundation, the foundation here on Monday evening held an honoring ceremony for the innovators who won the foundation’s awards in various creative fields.

Saudi Electricity Company signs agreement with Korean Export Import Bank

Riyadh, 25 Safar 1437 AH, December 07 2015 SPA — Saudi Electricity Company announced today it had signed a framework agreement with Korean Export Import Bank (K-EXIM) for funding supported by the Bank for a period of 3 years commencing from the date of signing the contract, noting that the Company will frame a possible access to a number of loans in the future according to its choice if it wants at a total amount of $ 3 billion.
The company said in a statement on the financial market site “Tadawul” that the signing of this agreement does not ensue any financial obligations to the Company, adding that any development will be disclosed in the future.

Capital Market Authority tightens measures to guarantee the market's safety from money laundering and terror financing 2 Riyadh

It added that the financial institutions licensed to practice financial securities business are also committed to implement the domestic policies and measures that could contribute to fighting money laundering and curbing terrorism financing.
Taking utmost care of the client, including keeping his files and notifying the authority of any suspect operations around him, is part of the updated regulations, the statement said, adding that any stock company should assign an employer of high skills to be in charge of following up individual and corporate transactions to keep them cleared of any money irregularities.

Capital Market Authority tightens measures to guarantee the market's safety from money laundering and terror financing

Riyadh, Safar 25, 1437, December 07, 2015, SPA — The Capital Market Authority (CMA) has asserted its keenness on the safety of money invested in the market and its compliance with the regulations in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that it was taking a number of measures in this regard, including tapping suspected money leaks with relation to money laundering or terror financing into the capital market.
In a press statement, the CMA recalled that it has issued in December 2008 the regulations on combating money laundering and terror financing, aiming, in part, to make sure that the licensed artificial personalities and those registered at CMA are committed to the measures and regulations issued by CMA and guarantee the imposition of money laundering system according to pertinent royal decrees and their executive regulations.
The statement said that the regulations also aim at enhancing the financial market fairness and credibility as well as the protection of stock market institutions and their clients who might fall victims of illegal operations, likely to include money laundering or terror financing transactions.

German output posts modest rebound in October

Berlin, Safar 25, 1437, December 07, 2015, SPA — German industrial production posted a modest rebound
in October after two consecutive monthly declines, but the increase
fell well short of analysts’ forecasts, dpa reported.

Output in Europe’s biggest economy edged higher by 0.2 per cent in
October compared with September, when it contracted by 1.1 per cent,
the Economics Ministry said.

Analysts had forecast a 0.8-per-cent rebound in October.

The pickup in October followed solid increases in the manufacturing
sector and in the production of capital goods such as machinery and
equipment.
