OAPEC Member States' Ministers Conclude their 95th Session, in Cairo

Cairo, Rabi’I 9, 1437, Dec 20, 2015, SPA — Ministers of Petroleum of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) concluded their 95th session here today, under the chairmanship of the Qatari Minister of Energy Mohammed Ali Al-Sadah.

The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meetings, was led by Eng. Ali Al-Naimi.

Barcelona Beat River Plate for Record Third Club World Cup Title

Yokohama, Rabi’I 9, 1437, Dec 20, 2015, SPA — Barcelona defeated River Plate 3-0 on Sunday to win the Club World Cup a record third time.
Lionel Messi returned from an illness to open the scoring in the 36th minute and Luis Suarez added two goals in the 49th and 68th to his semi-final hat-trick for the final scoreline.
The third Barca attacking star Neymar, back from injury, set up the first and third goal against the South American champions from Buenos Aires.

Italy raises deficit target for 2016 to 2.4 per cent of GDP

Rome, Rabi’I 9, 1437, Dec 20, 2015, SPA — Italy’s 2016 budget shortfall will be larger than
previously planned, its centre-left government said Sunday, dpa reported.

The deficit target was raised from 2.2 to 2.4 per cent of gross
domestic product (GDP), the office of Prime Minister Matteo Renzi
said in a statement, following an overnight parliamentary vote that
added more spending commitments to a draft budget law.

The so-called stability law was approved by the lower Chamber of
Deputies in a 297-93 vote, with four abstentions. It is expected to
be given a final nod by the Senate, the upper assembly, before

OAPEC Ministers Council Starts Ministerial Conference in Cairo

Cairo, Rabi’I 9, 1437, Dec 20, 2015, SPA — The Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), kicked off in Cairo, Egypt its 95th Ministerial Conference, headed by the State of Qatar.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the meeting was headed by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Ali Al-Naimi.

Kuwait bourse indices remain bearish

KUWAIT, Rabi’I 09, 1437, December 20, 2015, SPA — Kuwait Securities Exchange three main indices dropped in trades early on Sunday with the benchmark reading 5,599, shedding 24.5 points, followed by the weighted index which inched down by 0.77 points as well as Kuwait-15 index, dropping by 1.18.
Value of traded shares reached some KD 858,000, share turnover approximately 10.8 million, done in 314 transactions.

Egypt to host OAPEC Ministerial Conference

Cairo, 09 Rabi’I,1437 AH, 20 December,2015 , SPA — Egypt will host tomorrow 95th Ministerial Conference of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) with the participation of 10 ten ministers of petroleum and energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Libya, Algeria, Bahrain, Syria and Egypt, in the presence of the OAPEC’s Secretary General Abbas Al-Naqi.
The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Egypt Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla said in a statement today that the conference’s agenda includes the approval of the draft budget of the General Secretariat and the judiciary commission of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, and reviewing the activities of the Arab companies affiliated to the organization and the activities of the Secretariat including the follow-up of environmental affairs, climate change, studies carried out by the Secretariat, and the progress of work in the data bank.
