China stocks close lower

Beijing, Jumada I 20, 1437, February 29, 2016, SPA — China stocks tumbled on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closing down nearly 3 per cent, dpa reported.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 4.98 per cent lower, and the ChiNext Index, which tracks China’s NASDAQ style board of growth enterprises, lost 6.69 per cent.
Some investors had expected news of measures to boost China’s economic growth, analysts told financial newswire Bloomberg.
“Investors feel disappointed over the lack of good news from the G-20,” the Group of 20 meetings in Shanghai over the weekend, Steve Wang, chief China economist at Reorient Financial Markets Ltd, was quoted as saying.
