GULF BUSINESSMEN DISCUSS INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN TURKEY’S AGRICULTURE, LIVESTOCK SECTORS

Ankara, – A businessmen delegation from GCC states visited the southeastern Turkish provinces of Diyarbakir and Sanliurfa to learn about the investment opportunities there in the fields of agriculture and livestock.

The Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT), an entity under the jurisdiction of the Turkish cabinet, organized the visit along with Karacadag Development Agency.

The 50-businessmen delegation visited a number of farms and held meetings with officials from companies operating in agriculture and livestock as well as government officials from both provinces. During the meetings, the GCC businessmen learned about the situation in both sectors and discussed investment opportunities.

The Gulf region’s representative at ISPAT said the members of the delegation benefited from the visit as officials explained to them the incentives that Turkey offers to invest in agriculture and livestock.

The representative added that ISPAT aims to make use of Gulf investments so as to expand and develop small firms working in the two sectors. (QNA)
