ASPIRE FOUNDATION SIGNS MOU WITH FRENCH NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SPORT EXPERTISE

Doha, – Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and the French National Institute of Sport expertise and performance (INSEP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) cementing AZF’s commitment to elevate the expertise of its members as part of its mission to become a global leader in elite athletic management by 2020.

The agreements aim to improve sporting performance and enhancing the experience of the foundation’s members in Aspire Academy, Aspetar, and Aspire Logistics to help achieve the target of becoming a global leader in athletic management by 2020.

Director General of Aspire Logistics Abdullah bin Nasser Al Naemi signed the MoU on behalf of CEO of Aspire Foundation Mohammad Khalifa Al Suwaidi. On the French National institute’s side, its CEO Ghani Ylaouz signed. HE France’s Ambassador to Qatar Eric Chevallier attended the signing along with a number of ranking officials at INSEP.

Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Al Naemi said that Aspire Foundation was “very pleased to be collaborating with a center of excellence in sports like INSEP, as partnership is a key approach in our way to excellence…We believe that sharing knowledge between both institutions will bring tremendous benefit to the members of the Aspire Zone Foundation family, including Aspire Academy, a leading sports school for young athletic talent, Aspetar, the region’s first orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, and Aspire Logistics, which organises world-class local, regional and international sporting events.” For his part, Ylaouz said that INSEP “has chosen to further broaden its international horizons in order to enrich its knowledge and share experiences with best centres from all five continents whose efforts are shaping the sports of tomorrow and contributing to growth and development. That’s why we look forward to working with AZF’s specialists and coaches and welcoming them in France soon.” HE Ambassador of France Chevallier also commented on the signing of the agreement and said that “France and Qatar have an exceptional bilateral relationship which covers beyond a confident political dialogue, a wide range of sectors…I am eager to see the fruits of this partnership in the future and believe it will bring significant benefits to both sides.” As part of this partnership, Aspire Zone Foundation and INSEP will facilitate opportunities for all those involved in elite-level athlete and sports management to improve their knowledge and skill-sets through internships, conferences, as well as participation in training camps and collaborative research initiatives.
