MIDDLE EAST’S FIRST IATA GROUND HANDLING CONFERENCE KICKS OFF IN DOHA

The Minister of Transport and Communications, HE Jassim Seif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, said that hosting the 31st IATA Ground Handling Conference in Doha, for the first time in the Middle East, is a demonstration of confidence in Qatar and its official carrier Qatar Airways.

HE Al-Sulaiti also expressed his hope that this confidence will be reflected in the successful launch of IATA Ground Handling Conference, which attracts more than 700 participants from experts and specialists around the world.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al-Baker, said that the airline, which is ready to announce its financial results in June, remains strong despite the blockade imposed on the State of Qatar, and continues to expand and invest in new markets, adding new aircrafts to its growing fleet and employing more workers.
