UAE envoy presides over award-giving ceremony for UAE horse races in Morocco.

UAE Ambassador to Morocco Ali Salem Al Kaabi oversaw the ceremony for awarding prizes in four races organised by HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival at the Marrakesh race course in Morocco on Tuesday.

The Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup race headlined the Festival’s four races, the others were the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship race, the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship race and the Wathba Stallions Cup race.

All four races are part of the 10th Festival, which was initiated in 2009 by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The races were held within the Emirates Day for Arabian thoroughbred horses to celebrate the Year of Zayed under the theme ” One World: 6 Continents in Abu Dhabi”.

Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, also coordinated the organisation of the event.
