OCA General Assembly meeting held in Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia, The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) held the 37th session of its General Assembly meeting on Saturday on the sidelines of the ongoing 2018 Asian Games hosted by Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia.

The General Assembly meeting was chaired by HE Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, President of OCA also attended by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), HE Dr. Thani Al Kowari, the QOC Second Vice President, HE Jasim bin Rashid Al Boeinen, the QOC Secretary General and Mr. Khaleel Ibrahim Al Jabir, the Director of sport affairs department at QOC alongside senior Asian national Olympic committees.

The OCA president managed the meeting agendas for eight hours where vital topics related to development of Asian Olympic movement were exhaustively discussed, as well as the General Assembly has signed host city contract with Nagoya, Japan which is selected to host the 20th edition of Asian Games.

From his part, QOC’s sport affairs department director, Mr. Khaleel Al Jabir appreciated Indonesia’s significant effort being made at both managerial and technical levels to host he prestigious Asian Games.
