10 New Health Centers to Be Operational in Six Years

Eng. Tiki Georgio, Executive Director of Facility Management and Engineering at the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), told Al Rayah that the medical services provided at the PHCC centers since 2014 till present has risen by 118% in all specializations, attributing this to opening more health centers that are now estimated at 25 centers, in addition to more clinics within all health centers.

Since 2012, cooperation started with the Public Works Authority Ashghal to set up a number of new centers, clarifying that the number of newly opened health centers this year will rise to 10 at a cost of QR1.5 billion by year-end, she pointed out.

An agreement has recently been concluded with Ashghal to establish six additional new centers whose opening and operation will take place by 2022 before the start of the World Cup, which will contribute to providing health services to millions of visitors who are to visit Qatar and might need health services during their stay.
