”إيكونوميست إيفينتس” تنظم مؤتمر “الحرب على السرطان الشرق الأوسط 2019” لاستكشاف الابتكارات الخاصة برعاية مرضى السرطان في منطقة الشرق الأوسط
دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – 23فبراير2019: تستضيف “إيكونوميست إيفينتس” مؤتمر “الحرب على السرطان الشرق الأوسط” يوم 12 مارس 2019 في فندق “ريكسوس، جميرا بيتش ريزيدنس” الكائن بمنطقة الممشى في دبي. ويهدف المؤتمر إلى استعراض أحدث الابتكارات وسبل الوصول إلى خدمات الرعاية لمرضى السرطان في الشرق الأوسط، والوقوف على القضايا الإقليمية التي تعرقل جهود التقدم، والنظر في معالجتها.
ومن المتوقع أن تتضاعف معدلات الإصابة بالسرطان في أنحاء الشرق الأوسط بين 2012 و 2030 وفقاً لتقديرات منظمة الصحة العالمية، وهي أعلى زيادة نسبية في أي منطقة على مستوى العالم. ويُعزى هذا الارتفاع إلى مزيج من النمو السكاني السريع، والعوامل البيئية، وخيارات نمط الحياة، وزيادة معدلات الكشف عن المرض، إلا أنه مدفوع أكثر بمحدودية الوصول إلى العلاج والرعاية عالية الجودة.
ويوفر الحدث فرصة لصانعي السياسات، وقادة الصناعات، ومقدمي الرعاية الصحية، وشركات التأمين، والأطباء المتخصصين في الأورام، والمفكرين البارزين، للبحث في كيفية تصميم مسار رعاية لمرضى السرطان، وطرق التمويل والتنفيذ عبر كافة أرجاء الشرق الأوسط.

وقالت صاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة دينا مرعد، رئيسة الاتحاد الدولي لمكافحة السرطان (UICC): “من المتوقع أن تشهد منطقة الشرق الأوسط خلال العقدين المقبلين، أسرع زيادة في الأعباء والنفقات غير المباشرة لمرض السرطان على مستوى العالم. ونحن بحاجة ماسّة إلى توحيد الجهود لإحداث تغيير. وبصفتي رئيسة للاتحاد الدولي لمكافحة السرطان، أتطلع قدماً لتسليط الضوء على أهمية المجتمع ككل، والحكومة في الانتقال بمحاربة السرطان إلى المستوى التالي”.
من جانبه، قال الدكتور آزاد موبن، رئيس مجلس الإدارة المؤسس والمدير العام لمجموعة “أستر دي إم للرعاية الصحية”: “إن الحصول على الرعاية الصحية بأسعار معقولة وفي المتناول يعتبر أمراً مهماًطوال فترة العلاج من السرطان. وبما أن معظم علاجات السرطان مكلفة للغاية، من الضروري توفير رعاية مجانية أو مدعومة. وعندما ننظر إليها بشكل كلي، فإن الوصول إلى الرعاية الصحية بأسعار مناسبة هو الجزء الجوهري في المعركة ضد السرطان، بدءاً من مرحلة الفحص المبكر، ومروراً بالعلاجوحتى فترة الرعاية أثناء النقاهة”.
ويحظى مؤتمر “الحرب على السرطان الشرق الأوسط 2019” بدعم من مستشفى “سانت جود لأبحاث الأطفال”. وبحسب أرقام منظمة الصحة العالمية التي تصدرها كل عام، من المتوقع تشخيص قرابة 300,000 طفل وشاب في مرحلة المراهقة بمرض السرطان. ويعيش حوالي 8 من أصل 10 من هؤلاء الأطفال في بلدان ذات دخل منخفض ومتوسط، حيث تقدّر معدلات الشفاء على الأغلب بنحو 20 في المائة فقط.

Qatar Open Shotgun Championship gets underway
Doha, The 2019 edition of Qatar Open Shotgun Championship began in Doha on Friday.
The championship will feature 280 shooters from 38 countries including Qatar, Australia, Croatia, China, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Czech Republic, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, US, Ukraine, Malaysia, Poland, Peru, Pakistan, Japan, Lithuania, India, Georgia and Denmark.
In Trap category, the Qatar team will be represented by Rashid Al Athba, Nasser Al Humaidi, Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Mohammed Dablan, Hamad Al Athba, Hamad Al Athabi, Abdulaziz Al Athba, Khalid Al Mohannadi, Khalifa Al Attiyah and Ghanem Al Nuaimi.
In the women’s Trap category, the participants are Amna Al Abdullah, Noura Al Ali, Banna Ali, Kholoud Al Khalaf, Nawal Al Khalaf and Noura Al Mohannadi.
In the youth category for the same competition, the participants are Hussein Al Banai, Ibrahim Al Tamimi, Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Salem Al Marri, Mohammed Abdul Mohsen and Abdulaziz Abdul Mohsen.

UAE Ambassador meets with accredited ambassadors to Romania.
The UAE Ambassador to Romania Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Saeed Al Matroushi, has attended a reception hosted by the Russian Ambassador to Romania on the occasion of Russia’s Defender of the Fatherland Day in the presence of top officials and heads of diplomatic missions in Romania.
During the event, Al Matroushi met with all accredited diplomats in Romania including the Russian ambassador.

Qatar wins GCC Junior Athletics Championship
DOHA, Qatar claimed the title of the GCC Junior Athletics Championships which was concluded at Qatar Sports Club on Friday. The event was organized by the Qatar Athletics Association (QAF) with participation of three nations including Kuwait, Oman and hosts Qatar.
Qatar led the standings of boys’ competitions with 338 points. Kuwait took the second place with 174 points while Oman finished the championship in the third place with 77 points.
In girls’ competitions, Qatar led the standings with 132 points ahead of Kuwait in the second place with 67 points and Oman in the third place with 34 points.
The 2019 edition of the GCC Athletics Championship is one of 4 major athletics championships to be staged in Doha this year as it will be followed by the Asian Athletics Championships in April, the IAAF Diamond League in May and the IAAF World Athletics Championships from September 28 to October 04.

Ethiopia’s Defence Minister receives UAE Ambassador.
Ethiopia’s Defence Minister Aisha Mohammed Musa, has received UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mohammad Salem Al Rashidi, at the ministry in Addis Ababa.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest, especially topics related to defence and military cooperation.
The Ethiopian defence minister hailed the strong relations between the two countries and the importance of enhancing them.
In turn, Al Rashidi emphasised the UAE’s desire to develop cooperation and bonds with Ethiopia in various domains
