HM King lauds Bahrain’s honourable sport achievement

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa lauded the honourabe international historical achievement of Bahraini runner Salwa Eid Nasser who clinched the gold medal in the 400-meter race in the World Athletics Championship, held in Qatar.

The Bahraini runner clocked 48.14 seconds, the third fastest time in the history of this race.

HM the King congratulated the runner, lauding her distinguished performance and remarkable shine in the international competition which has boosted Bahrain’s status in athletics. He also congratulated all Bahraini participants in the world championship on their honourable results, praising the unprecedented results brought about by Bahraini athletes at the regional, continental and international level.

HM the King underlined unflinching keenness to provide every care and support to Bahraini sportspersons to continue their successful march in promoting the kingdom’s status. He commended the tireless work of Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS First Deputy Chairman and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in serving the sport movement in Bahrain.

HM the King took pride in all Bahraini youngsters who lifted the flag of their nation high in international gatherings and showed resolve to stand out in all fields. He expressed hope to see more accomplishments brought about by Bahrainis, wishing all every success.
