MME organises 16 sport activities

The Minister of Municipality and Environment, H E Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, participated in the activities organised by the Ministry of Municipal and Environment at Katara to mark National Sport Day yesterday.

The event which include 16 sport activities was attended by a number of Assistant Undersecretaries at the Ministry, and directors of departments and municipalities and Ministry employees. The venue included a variety of games for adults and children, including football, basketball, shooting, boxing, exercise, golf, dragon competitions, handball, climbing mountain, throwing rings, children?s games, shooting, Japanese wrestling, and more.

A number of Ministry officials participated in the exercise of sports, and expressed their happiness on this day, which is an appropriate opportunity to emphasize the importance of sport and the need to be a lifestyle throughout the year. On the other hand, the Ministry of Municipal and Environment provided an important infrastructure for practicing sport permanently and continuously through public parks, and the installation of a number of important sports devices along the Doha Corniche, which is witnessing daily turnout from the public.

The Ministry, represented by the Public Parks Department, also provided a number of games for people with special needs in a park in Lattakifia, within its interest and keenness to contribute to the integration of this category with society through public parks. (Peninsula)
