Kuwait: 666 new coronavirus cases; 3 deaths

Kuwait, Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has announced that 666 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours to increase registered cases to 56,174.


Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said three persons died of the virus to make total fatalities 396.


He added the new cases were of people who came into close contact with infected persons, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.


Al-Sanad said there were 156 patients in the intensive care units, while the number of patients receiving treatment was 9,617. Medical teams took 3,721 swab tests in the past 24 hours, bringing their total to 441,143. Al-Sanad said 25 people completed their mandatory quarantine period and would now need to do home quarantine for 14 days.
