MoFAIC urges Emiratis to register in Tawajudi before travelling and comply with preventive measures implemented in the country of destination

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation urges Emiratis who are planning to travel to register in Tawajudi, and to register elderly family members and children as well, by logging onto the Ministry’s website www.mofaic.gov.ae or the UAEMOFAIC smartphone application. The service enables the Ministry and UAE missions abroad to communicate with Emirati citizens abroad in emergencies and crises and provide them with the needful assistance.

HE Abdulaziz Talib Al Habsi, the Director of Citizens Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stressed that in line with the visionary stance if the UAE government in serving Emirati citizens around the clock and anywhere in the world, MoFAIC’s Tawajudi service facilitates communication With Emirati citizens who are overseas. He emphasized that the ministry is working 24/7 to receive citizens’ calls, answer their inquiries, and provide them with assistance.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation urges UAE citizens wishing to travel to take knowledge of travel guidelines and advice, and ensure they comply with all requirements and information on preventive measures against “Covid-19” in the destination country before traveling, by visiting the Emirati Traveler page on the ministry’s website www.mofaic.gov.ae. The page lists all the guidelines and requirements necessary to enter each country and is updated periodically.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stresses the importance of adhering to the regulations, instructions and laws set by the competent authorities in the country of residence amidst the “Covid-19” pandemic. If an Emirati traveler contracts the novel coronavirus, they must inform the UAE mission in the country by contacting the Ministry’s call center on 0097180044444, while ensuring they implement all precautionary measures followed in the country they are currently in with regard to isolation and duration of isolation. The UAE mission in the country will coordinate with local authorities to arrange for the best hospital for treatment and place for medical isolation, and the citizen will bear treatment and isolation expenses.
