The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Environmental Affairs and Livestock Management Sector, participates in (Suhail-Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition.
inaugurated this morning (Tuesday) at the headquarters of the Cultural District (Katara) and continues until next Saturday.
The Ministry’s pavilion offers a number of services such as:
* Falcon import and export permits
* Issuing a transit document for falcons
* Issuing health certificates for birds.
* Communicating with the public and responding to queries.
The pavilion includes the display of houbara birds produced by the Ministry’s Houbara Breeding Center. The Public is introduced to the International Trade Convention on Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora referred to as CITES, which regulates international trade between states parties in relation to some endangered species and to which Qatar acceded in 2001.
The Department of Public Relations at the MME, in coordination with the environmental affairs sector, has prepared the pavilion designs and awareness announcements to introduce the Ministry’s participation in the exhibition.
