The Al Shaqab Racing’s UMRAN opens his 2021 account

UMRAN (Mister Ginoux), a representative of Al Shaqab Racing, won at Mons, Belgium, on Thursday after proving successful in the Emirates Breeders’ Program, a race reserved for four-year-old and older Purebred Arabians, over 1,500m (7 1/2f). The four-year-old, trained by Elisabeth Bernard, was recording his second career victory in five attempts, following his Prix Caid success last year. Ridden by Gary Sanchez, he won by half a length ahead of EL ZARKA D.A. HALWICHA DE BOZOULS was seven lengths further back in third.

MISTER GINOUX, UMRAN’s sire, was a top performer for Al Shaqab Racing. Based at the Haras de Thouars, he has proved to be a leading first crop PA stallion – judging on the results obtained by his first generation to reach the racecourse. UMRAN was bred by Al Shaqab Racing.
