Ambassador to Brussels meets Group of Friends of Bahrain in European Parliament Chairman

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Brussels, accredited to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Denmark and Representative to the European Union and NATO, Dr. Bahia Jawad Al-Jishi, met Tomáš Zdechovský, Member of the European Parliament and Chairman of the Group of Friends of Bahrain in the European Parliament, and a number of members.

During the meeting, Dr. Bahia Al-Jishi reviewed the progress of the Group of Friends of Bahrain since its launch in its second edition in December 2019, expressing her happiness for the efforts made by the members of the Group of Friends of Bahrain in building bridges of cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the member states of the European Parliament.

Tomáš Zdechovský, praised the success achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in confronting the COVID-19 in a way that preserves the health and safety of everyone, stressing the group’s desire to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain later this year.

HM King condoles with German President, Chancellor

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today sent a cable of condolences to the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, over the victims of the strong storms and floods that swept the states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate due to heavy rains, resulting in several casualties, injuries and missing persons.

HM the King offered sincere condolences and consolation to the German President and people, as well as to the victims’ families, wishing the dead forgiveness and the wounded a speedy recovery.

HM King Hamad sent a similar cable to the German Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel.

HM King congratulated by Deputy Premier on HH Shaikh Nasser’s victory

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, on the achievement of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who won the 120-kilometre race of Spain’s International Endurance Championship, and the success of the Royal team in clinching the first places of the three races of the same championship.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla praised the landmark victory that adds to Bahrain’s rich record of honourable sports achievements attained thanks to HM the King’s unwavering support for sports and athletes, praying to Allah the Almighty to bless HM King Hamad with abundant health, happiness and long life.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister sends condolences to the President and Chancellor of the Republic of Germany

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today sent condolences to the President of the Republic of Germany, the German Chancellor and the German people after the severe storm and floods that have effected parts of the Country.

His Royal Highness noted that his thoughts and those of all in Bahrain were with those who had lost their lives and their families, wishing all those missing or wounded are found and recover after their ordeal.

His Royal Highness added that he hoped that communities across North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatine and the wider region can recover from the damage and destructions nature has wrought as soon as possible.
