Over 1,000 Umbrellas Distributed to Visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque

The Municipality of Madinah Region has distributed more than 1,000 umbrellas to the pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque to protect them from the sun in Madinah, which registers high temperatures.

The municipality reiterated its commitment to lend support to community initiatives. More than 100 volunteers of both genders are distributing umbrellas in several locations, including the central area and the Miqat Mosque area, as part of the municipality’s efforts to provide the best services to pilgrims and visitors.

KSrelief Concludes Saudi Noor Voluntary Project to Combat Blindness in the Bangladeshi City of Dinajpur

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday ended the Saudi Noor Voluntary Project to combat blindness in Dinajpur, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, carried out in cooperation with the Al-Basar International Foundation.

During the campaign, KSrelief volunteer medical team examined 5,283 cases, distributed 1,854 medical glasses, and performed 517 successful cataract surgeries.

This campaign is part of the voluntary programs organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm KSrelief to support the medical sector and help individuals suffering from eye diseases in several countries.

KSrelief Distributes 1,500 Food Baskets in Herat Province, Afghanistan

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Thursday distributed 1,500 food baskets to families affected by floods and needy households in the Herat Province, Afghanistan; 1,500 families, counting 9,000 individuals, benefited from the aid.

The Roads General Authority has successfully completed the inspection of 1,100 bridges on the roads leading to the Holy Sites to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.

These efforts are part of the continuous endeavors of the Transportation and Logistics System, serving pilgrims from all sectors of the system, including the roads sector. The Kingdom has earned the top position worldwide in the road connectivity index, according to the Global Competitiveness Forum, thanks to this sector.

The Transportation and Logistics System has taken proactive measures to enhance its level of readiness through the road network. This includes surveying all roads from 8 border crossings to the Holy Sites, as well as maintaining over 7,400 km of roads leading to the Holy Sites to cater to the pilgrims’ needs.
