Cabinet convenes its weekly meeting in NAC

The cabinet convened on Monday its weekly meeting under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli at the New Administrative Capital to discuss a number of political, economic and social files along with the latest international developments.

During the meeting, the cabinet discussed the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Egypt and his tour of Old Cairo as well as a number of laws and ministerial decisions that aim at achieving economic and social stability and encouraging investments.

The cabinet also followed up the implementation of a number of national projects across the country especially the presidential initiative of “Decent Life”.

The cabinet also reviewed the measures taken upon directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to check on the availability of food commodities at markets on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

It also reviewed implementing the decision of the Supreme Council for Investment as well as the files of industry, exportation, agriculture and monitoring of markets.

President al-Assad meets Griffiths, stresses need not to politicize file of the return of Syrian refugees to their country

President Bashar al-Assad discussed Monday with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths mobilizing efforts to support early recovery projects on the return of Syrian refugees ,and keeping the refugee file within its humanitarian and moral framework.

President al-Assad stressed the need not to politicize the file of the return of Syrian refugees to their country.

President al-Assad underlined that the safe return of the Syrian refugees is the supreme goal of the Syrian state. However, it is linked to providing the requirements for the reconstruction of damaged buildings in the villages and cities to which they will return, and the rehabilitation of service facilities in all its forms, in addition to the need to implement early recovery projects necessary for their return.

President al-Assad highlighted that Syrian state institutions have taken many measures to facilitate the refugee return and are working to ensure what supports their stability within available capacities.

Griffiths outlined the organization’s international plan of action in the next phase for supporting early recovery projects in Syria and mobilizing efforts on securing the refugee return.

In the same context, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed with Mr. Griffiths the progress achieved in the cooperation between Syria and the UN agencies concerned in the humanitarian affairs, particularly after the earthquake catastrophe, and means of developing projects of the early recovery.

Mikdad stressed the importance of halting the politicization of the humanitarian affairs, and adhering to UN resolutions, particularly the need for respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Griffiths, for his part, thanked efforts exerted by Syria in cooperation with UN agencies to facilitate the humanitarian and relief work and to deliver aid to people who deserve in the Syrian regions without any discrimination.

Mikdad, Vershinin discuss joint cooperation at international forums

Syria and Russia discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation, especially on political consultation and coordination between the Foreign Ministries of both countries and their diplomatic missions at international forums as well as files pertaining to the work of international organizations.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Fayssal Mikdad met Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin and the accompanying delegation on Tuesday.

Viewpoints of the two sides were identical on the issues discussed with Minister Mikdad stressing Syria’s support for Russia’s special military operation in Donbas in order to counter attempts aimed at undermining its sovereignty, strength and stability.

Vershinin, in turn, expressed his country’s continued support for Syria to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity against terrorist groups and the attempts to disrupt its efforts for early recovery, stressing Russia’s keenness to support Syria and coordinate with it in various areas.

KSrelief Participates in Fifth GCC-German Forum in Berlin

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delegation, headed by the Center’s Director of the Resources and Investment Department and its spokesperson, Dr. Samer Al-Jutaili, participated in the Fifth GCC-German Forum, held June 19-20 in Berlin, Germany.

During the event, Dr. Al-Jutaili discussed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s relief and humanitarian contributions at the international level in providing support to refugees and displaced persons over the past four decades.

He underscored that the Kingdom has provided, through KSrelief, 2,402 humanitarian projects in 92 countries worth more than $6.248 billion. The projects were undertaken in cooperation with 175 international, regional, and local partners, in addition to the Kingdom’s presidency of a group of donors to support the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) for 2022-2023.

He also praised the prominent Saudi humanitarian role through the center for the relief of the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Türkiye recently, in addition to the Saudi relief efforts supporting Sudan.

On the sidelines of the Forum, several discussion sessions were held between young men and women in the GCC and Germany to discuss the active role of youth in leading the implementation of relief and humanitarian projects.

Three Palestinians arrested in the West Bank

The Israeli occupation troops arrested Monday three Palestinians in different areas of the West Bank.

The occupation forces stormed al-Dheisheh camp and Taqu’a town east of Bethlehem and they arrested two Palestinians, and they also raided Anabta town, east of Tulkarm and arrested one Palestinian, Wafa News agency stated.

On the other hand, the occupation troops broke into several villages in Jenn city and set up barriers at the city’s entrance, to prevent Palestinians from entering or leaving it.

On Sunday, the occupation forces arrested nine Palestinians in different areas of the West Bank.

Terrorist attack on Jourin town, its vicinity in Hama countryside

Terrorist organizations in Idleb city targeted, with mortars and drones, Jourin town and its vicinity in al-Ghab Plain, Hama countryside, a source at Hama Police Command told SANA.

The attack caused only material damage, according to the source.

Earlier, on June 22th, a drone attack by those terrorist groups targeted the residential areas in the village of Salhab, Hama with two bombs, killing a woman and a child and injuring three others.

On anniversary of liberating Quneitra, people of occupied Golan determined to achieve full liberation

On June 26th 1974, the Late founder leader, Hafez al-Assad, hoisted the Syrian flag in liberated Quneitra and that came to crown the sacrifices made by the Syrian army and people in October Liberation War.

On the anniversary of hoisting Syrian flag over Quneitra, people in occupied Golan affirmed their steadfastness in confronting the repressive and arbitrary acts of Israeli occupation against them, stressing adherence to their Syrian Arab identity, and their confidence in restoring every inch of occupied Syrian Golan to the homeland and that the Israeli occupation will be defeated.

They noted that the anniversary comes this year, while people of occupied Syrian Golan are facing the Zionist war machine that is trying to seize thousands of dunums of agricultural lands in order to build wind turbines on them under the pretext of generating electricity from wind energy, but their real goal is to usurp their lands.

They stressed that just as the Late founder leader raised Syria’s flag in Quneitra, President Bashar al-Assad will also raise the Syrian flag in the sky of Golan.

One of the citizens said that after the great victories over against terrorists who waged a war against Syria, raising of the Syrian flag over the entire Golan will be achieved soon, asserting that people of occupied Golan are adherent to their Syrian Arab identity and their belonging to the homeland.

Pilgrims Arrive in Mina

All pilgrims arrived today in Mina, following the Sunnah (tradition) of the Prophet Mohammed.

Accompanying the pilgrims arriving in Mina were thousands of security personnel who work with various other authorities to serve pilgrims.

The move to Mina was smooth along the main axes of the road network, with various entities exerting all effort to serve pilgrims, in accordance with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Pilgrims of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah Visit Revelation Exhibition in Makkah

The guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and visits, implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, were given the opportunity to visit the Revelation exhibition located in the cultural neighborhood of Hira in Makkah.

During their tour of the exhibition halls, the guests were able to learn about various aspects of the story of the revelation of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The exhibition uses an attractive technological display, which takes viewers on an audiovisual journey, allowing them to familiarize themselves with other elements of the revelation story, such as the Cave of Hira, Khadija bint Khuwaylid (The Mother of Believers), and Archangel Gabriel.

At the end of the visit, the guests praised the exhibition for its depiction of the great aspects of the story of the revelation to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). They also commended the role of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance in arranging and organizing such religious visits. The guests expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi government and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for their service to Islam and Muslims across the world. They emphasized that the program is part of the continuous services and assistance that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides to Muslims worldwide.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Announces Success of Dispatching 4,591 Pilgrims of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program from Makkah to Holy Sites

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, also the General Supervisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al Al-Sheikh, has recently declared the successful implementation of the ministry’s plans in sending and welcoming 4,951 pilgrims from 92 countries, as a part of the holy sites tour. During the trip, the pilgrims had the chance to spend the day of perfusion (day of al-Tarwiyah) and later visit Arafat to carry out the significant act of pilgrimage. Comprehensive services supervised by all committees working on the program were provided to support the pilgrimage.

In a press release, the minister expressed his gratitude towards the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, praising their eagerness to assist the pilgrims and ensure they fulfill the Hajj ritual in a spiritually uplifting environment. He mentioned the Kingdom’s committed efforts to ensure the pilgrims’ safety and peace of mind while undertaking the pilgrimage rituals.

The minister emphasized the ministry’s human solid resources mobilization to provide a diverse range of top-quality services to pilgrims since their arrival in the country. Furthermore, he stressed the execution of dispatching the pilgrims in under an hour according to the ministry’s well-planned schedule.
