KSrelief to Implement Saudi Sama’a Hearing Rehabilitation Program for Palestinian Children in Gaza Strip, Jordan


Amman: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) today signed an agreement with Istiklal Hospital to implement the “Saudi Sama’a” Volunteer Program for Cochlear Implantation and Hearing Rehabilitation for Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip and Jordan.

The agreement was signed by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Planning and Development Dr. Aqeel bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi and Istiklal Hospital board of directors’ vice chairman Osama Mahmoud Ahmed Marouf, in the presence of Advisor at the Royal Court and KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Amman, Jordan.

Under the agreement, cochlear implant surgeries will be conducted. Cochlear devices will be provided along with examination services by doctors and speech and language specialists from the hospital or volunteers, dispensing of necessary medications, and transportation for beneficiaries and their companions to Jordanian territory. Housing and subsistence will
also be provided for three months if they stay in the Gaza Strip.

The event was attended by the Saudi ambassador to Jordan and the non-resident ambassador-designate to the State of Palestine, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi.

The agreement is part of the aid projects provided by KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of people in need worldwide.

Dr. Al Rabeeah Visits, Signs Agreement with King Hussein Cancer Center to Treat Gaza Cancer Patients in Jordan


Amman: Advisor at the Royal Court and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah visited the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Amman, Jordan.

During the visit, he was accompanied by KHCC board of trustees’ chairperson Princess Ghida Talal and the Saudi ambassador to Jordan, and the non-resident ambassador-designate to the State of Palestine, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi.

Dr. Al Rabeeah toured the KHCC’s departments to learn about medical cases and the center’s latest technical and medical specifications. He also learned about the level of cancer care in Jordan, including the treatment, prevention, and awareness services provided to patients in Jordan and the Arab world.

Following the visit, Dr. Al Rabeeah and Princess Ghida Talal signed a joint agreement to treat cancer patients from Gaza in Jordan. The agreement aims to provide treatment for 150 individuals and will cost $3,615,800 million. Princess Ghida Talal expressed her gratitud
e for the agreement, emphasizing the real chance it provides for Palestinian cancer patients from the Gaza Strip to recover. She thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for its continuous support for those in need worldwide.

Dr. Al Rabeeah noted that this agreement confirms the Kingdom’s commitment, through KSrelief, to provide support to cancer patients worldwide and alleviate their suffering. He expressed his gratitude to the government of Jordan for the facilities provided to the center, enabling its humanitarian work to be performed effectively.

Saudi Ambassador to UK Welcomes Delegation from KAUST, University Students


London: The Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, on Wednesday received a delegation from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) along with strategic supporters.

The meeting, which also encompassed students from the University of Oxford and the University of Glasgow, showcased the training program organized by KAUST in collaboration with several international universities.

The presentation included an overview of the program’s objectives, application process, nomination, and implementation, as well as mechanisms for cooperation with leading global universities. The program aims to motivate students, encouraging them to achieve academic and professional excellence in the future.

Saudi Ambassador to UK Welcomes Delegation from University of Hail


London: The Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, received a delegation from the University of Hail, led by its president, Professor Rashid bin Maslat Al-Sharif.

Al-Sharif briefed Prince Khalid on the university’s program dedicated to visiting UK universities. It aims to enhance academic cooperation and exchanging experiences between Saudi and British universities.

The program falls within the efforts to develop scientific research and higher education in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

KSrelief Supervisor General Inaugurates Series of Humanitarian Projects to Support Syrian, Palestinian Refugees, and the Host Community in Jordan


Amman: The Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, today launched a series of humanitarian projects to support Syrian and Palestinian refugees and the host community in Jordan. The event occurred at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Amman.

During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Al Rabeeah expressed his gratitude for the collaboration with Jordan in shouldering the significant responsibility towards Palestinian and Syrian refugees. He praised the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, its leadership, and its people for their exemplary reception and care of Palestinian and Syrian refugees, offering them comprehensive support and assistance. He emphasized that this compassionate stance reflects the principles of brotherhood and human solidarity, contributing to regional stability and peace.

Dr. Al Rabeeah emphasized that the projects launched today represent more than just material aid; they are a
message of solidarity and brotherhood to those in need. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands ready to support and empower refugees to rebuild their lives and secure a better future.

Among the projects announced, KSrelief and the UN World Food Programme (WFP) signed a cooperation agreement to implement a $12,800,000 initiative supporting food security for Syrian refugees in Jordan. This phase is expected to benefit 50,000 individuals monthly, constituting 65% of the population of Al-Zaatari camp. Additionally, a project to treat cancer patients in the Gaza Strip, in partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), was initiated at a cost of $3,615,800, benefiting 150 patients. Furthermore, a project to care for Syrian and Jordanian orphans in partnership with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) was launched at a cost of $1,304,591, benefiting 1,000 orphans across Jordan. A framework agreement was also signed for voluntary medical projects providing cochlear implantation and hearing rehabilit
ation for Palestinian patients in partnership with Istiklal Hospital.

Dr. Al Rabeeah highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided over $5.3 billion to Palestine and host countries for refugees in recent years, with KSrelief contributing nearly $480 million. He also noted the Kingdom’s extensive relief efforts globally, providing $129.6 billion to 169 countries. KSrelief also contributed $6.8 billion to 100 countries in cooperation with 187 partners and implemented 2,973 relief projects. Dr. Al Rabeeah emphasized the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to delivering its humanitarian message to communities worldwide.

Various senior officials attended the inauguration ceremony, including the Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, the Non-resident Ambassador-designate to Palestine, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi and Palestinian ministers and officials.

KSrelief Supervisor General Signs Joint Agreement to Support Syrian Orphans, Host Community in Jordan


Amman: The Advisor at the Royal Court and King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) Supervisor General, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, signed an agreement to implement a project supporting Syrian orphans and the host community in Jordan. The total amount of the project is SAR4,892,000 million. The agreement was signed with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), represented by the Secretary-General of the Commission, Dr. Hussein Shebli.

This agreement aims to improve the livelihoods of Syrian orphans and the host community by providing monthly financial sponsorship that covers their basic needs for a year. Additionally, it aims to raise their educational level with educational sponsorship, Eid clothing, and recreational program activities. The project will benefit 1,000 Syrian orphans and the host community in the cities of Amman, Zarqa, Al-Mafraq, Irbid, Ajloun, Jerash, Balqa, Madaba, Kerak, At-Tafilah, Ma’an, and Aqaba.

The signing occurred in the presence of the Saud
i Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Non-resident Ambassador-designate to the State of Palestine, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, and representatives of international humanitarian organizations.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and relief efforts through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to care for orphans wherever they are.

KSA Provides Food Aid to Support Jordanian Airdrop for Palestinians in Gaza Strip


Riyadh: In the presence of the advisor at the Royal Court and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) General Supervisor Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Saudi Arabia provided food aid to Jordan.

The aid is represented by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and is to be delivered to the Jordanian Hashemite Armed Forces (Arab Army) and the relevant authorities. The aid will then be delivered to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through an airdrop operation as part of the Saudi popular campaign to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the enclave.

The aid, which weighs 30 tons, is part of the Kingdom’s recent delivery of parachutes and nets designed for humanitarian airdrop operations. It is intended to support Jordan’s humanitarian efforts to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip and alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis there.

Since the beginning of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, KSrelief has launched a popular campaign through the “S
ahem” platform to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the enclave. The value of its donations has reached more than SAR 700 million.

The Kingdom has also launched an air bridge from which 54 aircraft have arrived and a sea bridge from which eight ships have arrived. The Palestinian Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip has received 20 ambulances equipped with the latest first-aid equipment, 30 electrical generators, and 10 water tanks.

In addition, more than 500 convoys have passed through the Rafah border crossing so far. Meanwhile, the center’s in-kind assistance to the Gaza Strip amounted to more than 6,546 tons of various relief materials.

KSrelief has signed five agreements with several international organizations to provide relief to the Palestinian people in Gaza, totaling $8.75 million, demonstrating the Kingdom’s commitment to delivering urgent humanitarian and relief aid to the affected areas in the Gaza Strip in various possible ways to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in light
of the current humanitarian crisis.

HRC President: Saudi Arabia Protects Human Rights from Its Deep-Rooted Principles, Values, Will of Its Leadership


Geneva: Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC) President Dr. Hala bint Mazyed Al-Tuwaijri stated that Saudi Arabia is committed to attaining the highest international standards in protecting and promoting human rights. She emphasized that this commitment is based on the country’s deeply rooted principles and values and the leadership’s prioritization of human welfare above all else.

Dr. Al-Tuwaijri ‘s remarks came at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva during Saudi Arabia’s participation in a session to adopt the results of the fourth cycle of the Universal Periodic Review mechanism.

Leading the Kingdom’s delegation at the session, she highlighted the government’s extensive cooperation with the review mechanism, which is a crucial tool for the Human Rights Council to enhance human rights globally. Dr. Al-Tuwaijri stressed that principles such as equality, dialogue, cooperation, neutrality, objectivity, and transparency should form the foundation for any collaborative efforts between states in the realm of hu
man rights.

She also noted that Saudi Arabia’s acceptance of over 80% of the recommendations from the fourth cycle of the Universal Periodic Review demonstrates its genuine dedication to human rights.

During the interactive dialogue, Dr. Al-Tuwaijri outlined the significant reforms and advancements in human rights in the Kingdom, emphasizing that more than 150 legislative, institutional, judicial, and procedural reforms have been accomplished since the adoption of Saudi Vision 2030. She further explained that these reforms continued even during the challenging circumstances brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Al-Tuwaijri underscored that Saudi Arabia’s commitment to human rights is rooted in its national vision, as human rights are an integral part of its authentic values and culture, which are reflected in its laws and practices.

KSrelief Signs Agreement to Implement Fourth Phase of Meeting Food Needs of Syrian Refugees in Jordan


Amman: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) today signed a joint agreement with the UN World Food Programme (WFP) to implement the fourth phase of meeting the food and nutritional needs of Syrian refugees in Al-Zaatari camp in Jordan. The agreement, signed by the Director of the KSrelief’s branch in Jordan, Naif bin Saleh Al-Shammari, and the WFP Representative and Regional Director in Jordan, Alberto Correa Mendez, at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Embassy headquarters in Amman, will benefit 49,813 individuals, 10,673 families, with a total worth of $12,800,000 million.

This agreement will provide a grant to the WFP to distribute monthly electronic vouchers to beneficiaries in Al-Zaatari camp, Al-Mafraq governorate, using fingerprint technology or electronic wallets. These vouchers will be credited with food items that the beneficiaries can use in shops and bakeries in the camps.

Consul General of Afghanistan Visits Taibah University


Madinah: The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Jeddah, Dr. Shir Mohammad Ibrahimi, and the accompanying delegation visited Taibah University in Madinah. They were received by the President of Taibah University, Dr. Nawal bint Mohammad Al-Rashid.

During the visit, topics of common interest were discussed, and an introductory overview of the university and its various scientific and research paths was provided.
