Foreign Affairs Minister attends Iranian President inauguration ceremony


Tehran, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency Masoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which took place at the Islamic Consultative Assembly in Tehran today.

Present at the ceremony were the Speaker of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament), the head of the judiciary, members of the Majlis, senior officials of the Iranian government, several heads of state and government, foreign ministers, envoys and ambassadors of countries accredited to Tehran.

The Foreign Affairs Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to HE President Pezeshkian, and their wishes for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people further progress and prosperity.

He expressed Bahrain’s interest in the development of bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Iran, leadi
ng to the restoration of normal relations and progress in further enhancing cooperation to serve common interests. Dr. Al Zayani wished Iran and its people further stability and prosperity.

The Foreign Minister was accompanied by Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, the Bahraini Ambassador to Oman.

UAE launches Charter for development and Utilisation of AI


Dubai, The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office has launched the Charter for the Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence in the UAE, aimed at achieving the objectives of the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This launch reflects the leadership’s vision to transform the UAE into a global hub for developing and adopting AI solutions and applications across various fields, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

The Charter aims to provide a thriving environment that adheres to the highest standards of safety and privacy and enhances societal trust in these applications.

The Charter aims to establish robust principles and frameworks for applying the most advanced AI models, focusing on strengthening human and machine relationships. The principles of the Charter include the importance of safety and fairness to provide an equitable environment for society. This ensures the responsible development of AI technologies, guaranteeing their inclusivi
ty and accessibility.

The Charter also includes principles to enhance awareness in the AI field for an inclusive future, benefiting from AI advancements to ensure fair technological access for all segments of society. Additionally, it covers compliance with the laws related to the development and use of AI.
