Al Rayyan Club was crowned champion of the Basketball League for the 18th time in its history after defeating Al Shamal Club 75-68 in the finals at Al Gharafa Club Hall today.
Al Rayyan produced 14-19, 12-20, 16-20, 16-26 win, with a difference of 7 points.
Al Sadd Club finished third after defeating Qatar Club 82-71 in the third-place match that was held at the same venue.
The match results were 18-21, 21-12, 27-21, 16-17, with a difference of 11 points.
President of the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) Mohammed Saad Al Mughaiseeb, and Secretary-General of the QBF Saadoun Sabah Al Kuwari crowned Al Rayyan Club with the Basketball League Shield, Al Shamal Club with the silver medals, and Al Sadd Club with bronze medals.
