Algeria, Saudi Arabia Discuss Bilateral Relations, Regional and International Developments

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune met on Tuesday with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, who is visiting Algeria.

The two sides discussed relations between the two countries and ways to promote them in various fields, specially in trade exchange, in addition to discussing the most prominent regional and international developments.

In statements following the meeting, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed the existence of full consensus between the two countries with respect to various issues of common interest, pointing out that cooperation and coordination between the two countries broadly serve security and stability of Arab region and international community.

Meanwhile, Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ataf and discussed aspects of intensifying bilateral coordination in several regional and international issues, including bolstering the joint efforts to crystallize Arab solutions to Arab problems and espouse nation’s cause in various regional and international arena, with the Palestinian cause at the forefront of it, as well as coordinate efforts to achieve international security and peace.

Regarding preparation for the upcoming Arab summit in Jeddah, the two sides underscored the importance of maintaining the efforts to clear Arab atmospheres and enhance Arab consensus similar to the Declaration of Algiers 2022, including decisions and orientations that aim at unifying Arab position to overcome various challenges.
