Manama, The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has invited the business community to attend a workshop on procedure to export food to Saudi Arabia.
Organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), the workshop will be held at Beit Al-Tijjar on Monday from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm.
The workshop will inform food traders on the procedures to be taken ahead of exporting food products to Saudi Arabia to avoid any obstacles and materiall losses due to the rejection of shipments at ports.
The event is in line with BCCI’s role to raise the awaremess of its members on various commercial laws and legislation related to the private sector in order to increase its role in supporting economic development in the kingdom.
BCCI urged food traders to fill SFDA’s survey on http://www.sfda.gov.sa before October 1, 2019, and to register their companies’ details on BCCI’s database on https://www.bcci.bh/fs/food/form.php to receive all updates regarding the new requirements.
