Ouagadougou, Speaker Saudi Shura Council Shaikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shaik participates in the 15th session of the Conference of the Federation of OIC Member States held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
In a press statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Speaker affirmed that Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, is always keen to support the joint Islamic parliamentary work at all levels.
Dr. Al Al-Shaik said that that Shura Council is an active member of this federation and is keen, through its participation in this conference, to clarify the Kingdom fair positions on the topics of the conference agenda, and contribute in standing against the attempts to interfere in the affairs of the Islamic and Arab countries, and in support of the unity of the Islamic world.
He stressed the Kingdom’s interest in promoting Islamic and parliamentary action to unify the Islamic efforts in all countries around the world to confront challenges, support and defend Islamic issues as well as to achieve and spread security, peace and stability in all Islamic and Arab countries.
Speaker added that the Kingdom keeps in mind the great responsibility in facing the blatant interferences from some countries in the internal affairs of the Islamic, Arab and Gulf countries by supporting some parties and organizations that carry out actions that contribute to spreading chaos and impede the development work of the peoples of the Islamic and Arab countries, affirming the Kingdom’s keenness to confront terrorism and reject extremism in the region and the world.
Secretary General of Shura Council Mohammed bin Dakhil Al-Mutairi participates in the 3rd meeting of the Association of General Secretaries of the Member Councils of the Federation of OIC Member States.
The meeting will discuss several topics.
