HE Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Jamal, Chairman of the General Authority of Customs (GAC), unveiled that e-linking between GAC and the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has been completed, allowing for the exchange of information with the MoI systems with respect to IDs and movement of vehicles across the borders and customs declaration of new vehicles.
Al-Jamal further revealed, in an interview with Al-Shorta Ma’ak The Police with You magazine, issued by the MoI Public Relations, that the procedures for integration with the radiation systems at Hamad International Airport (HIA) are now completed. This enables transferring the X-ray made to compare goods with customs declaration to the Inspection Department and the Operations Room at Hamad Port, in addition to the Operations Room at the GAC headquarters, he added.
Al-Jamal then pointed out that integration with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce has also been completed to exchange information on the commercial registration, the type of activity carried out by importers and exporters and the customs clearance companies in Al-Nadeeb System. He clarified that such procedures contributed to the easiness of customs procedures and acceleration of goods’ release.
