H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Industry inaugurates Project Qatar & Hospitality Qatar

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al–Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the 18th International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition ‘Project Qatar 2022’, and the Hospitality Qatar Exhibition in its seventh edition, being held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, on June 6-9, 2022.

After the inauguration ceremony, H.E. the Minister toured both exhibitions to see the various pavilions, services, and products offered by the participating companies and institutions.

In this context, H.E. stressed the importance of Project Qatar 2022 in highlighting the growth witnessed by major ongoing development projects as part of achieving Qatar’s national vision, QNV 2030, as well as those that come in preparation for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The exhibition provides an important platform that brings together major international companies and institutions involved in the construction sector, H.E. stated, adding that the event provided an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies, specialised equipment, and the best international practices in this field. Moreover, it offers an opportunity to form fruitful partnerships and new business alliancesthat add value to the local market, as well as contribute to enhancing the investment environment in Qatar, H.E. further said.

On the occasion of the opening of Hospitality Qatar, H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Industry, underscored the importance of the exhibition, as it comprises an opportunity to view the development in Qatar’s hospitality sector, especially in light of the positive indicators of the national economy’s projected growth in the coming period.

The State’s interest in the Hospitality Qatar Exhibition reflects its belief in the pivotal role played by the hospitality sector in supporting the diversity and competitiveness of the national economy, H.E. added, expressing his hope that this event would achieve tangible results that further consolidate Qatar’s position as a leading tourist destination, regionally and globally.

Project Qatar 2022 aims to highlight the products and services provided in the construction sector, including electrical equipment; construction systems and technology; engineering and design services; as well as building materials such as marble, pipes, steel products, ceramics, and granite.

As for Hospitality Qatar, marking its seventh edition this year, it is Qatar’s exclusive and longest-running International Hospitality and HORECA Trade Show. The key event targets local, regional, and international companies operating in the tourism and hospitality sector, giving them a unique opportunity to enhance their brands.
