The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), launched the second phase of the Vocational and Business Skills Training and Support Project in Yemen two days ago.
The project involves training 1,500 young men and women from 24 directorates in nine Yemeni governorates in vocational, technical, and business skills. It includes skills in food production, textiles, hand weaving, boat engine repair, solar energy system maintenance and installation, as well as vocational kits to help the beneficiaries establish their own businesses after completing the training.
The Yemeni Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Ahmed Hussein Jawi, praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief. He commended the work of equipping the citizens of Yemen with vocational skills and empowering them economically. This support aims to help them start their own projects, reduce unemployment, and enhance income to benefit youth.
