KSrelief Participates in Fifth GCC-German Forum in Berlin

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delegation, headed by the Center’s Director of the Resources and Investment Department and its spokesperson, Dr. Samer Al-Jutaili, participated in the Fifth GCC-German Forum, held June 19-20 in Berlin, Germany.

During the event, Dr. Al-Jutaili discussed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s relief and humanitarian contributions at the international level in providing support to refugees and displaced persons over the past four decades.

He underscored that the Kingdom has provided, through KSrelief, 2,402 humanitarian projects in 92 countries worth more than $6.248 billion. The projects were undertaken in cooperation with 175 international, regional, and local partners, in addition to the Kingdom’s presidency of a group of donors to support the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) for 2022-2023.

He also praised the prominent Saudi humanitarian role through the center for the relief of the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Türkiye recently, in addition to the Saudi relief efforts supporting Sudan.

On the sidelines of the Forum, several discussion sessions were held between young men and women in the GCC and Germany to discuss the active role of youth in leading the implementation of relief and humanitarian projects.
