The Coasts and Borders Security Department at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) launched yesterday a new service of marine vessels sailing application submission and registration on the Metrash2 application. This comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts through its different departments to enhance and simplify procedures for customers using modern technologies.
Lieutenant-Colonel Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Mohannadi, assistant director-general of Coasts and Borders Security, clarified that this service would save the time and efforts for sea-goers. This is because the process of registering marine movement through the points of the Coasts and Borders Security has been replaced with direct registration through Metrash2 and the completion of all procedures for the sailing of marine vessels, as he said.
Lieutenant-Colonel Al Mohannadi, following the launch of this service on the sidelines of “Milipol Qatar 2021” Exhibition launched yesterday, said that “the service covers all marine vessels in the Qatari territorial waters.”
