New Service Launched at the Saudi Riwaq in the Grand Holy Mosque

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has added a service of the provision of wheelchair assistants on the ground and first floors of the new Saudi Riwaq (portico). This service ensures serving special needs visitors of the Grand Mosque efficiently by assisting them with accessibility to the Grand Mosque.

The Director of the Mobility Services Department at the Grand Mosque, Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Maqati, stated that the presidency had provided a number of employees in the Saudi Riwaq to keep track of movement patterns, reduce the density of people, monitor the movement of wheelchairs, and answer inquiries regarding the location of services provided by the Mobility Department.

Al-Maqati emphasised that the department has placed signage and digital screens in the Grand Mosque to inform visitors of the electric carts service site, noting that outstanding services are accessible and provided to all visitors of the Mosque.
