Public Security chief attends workshop on digital currencies

A forum themed “Digital currencies between the current situation and future challenges”, has opened today at the headquarters of The Royal Academy of Police”, in the presence of 84 officers from various directorates of the Ministry of Interior.

Public Security Chief Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan attended the symposium along with the Bahrain Institute Banking and Finance (BIBF) director-general Ahmed Abdul Hameed Al Shaikh and other officials.

Lt. Gen. Al Hasan stressed the Interior Ministry’s on developing the human resources and expanding the use of modern technology to upgrade cadres, reach professionalism and provide the best level of security services.

He commended the level of cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies in holding such events in order to exchange experiences and review practices.

Dr. Al Shaikh stressed cooperation with the Ministry of Interior to hold the forum on cryptocurrency, stressing the institute’s commitment to promoting national staff in the field of digital currencies.

The Public Security Chief then honoured the lecturers, appreciating the important topics that contributed to enriching the knowledge of the audience.
