Qatar Scientific Club Partakes in ‘SkillFest’ Festival

Doha: The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) is participating in the 1st edition of “SkillFest” festival, which is taking place in Msheireb Galleria, Place Vendome, Mall of Qatar, and West Walk, and will run until August 15.

The QSC is holding a variety of scientific experiments and workshops for different age groups at West Walk.

Deputy Executive Director of the QSC, Eng. Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis, told Qatar News Agency that the Club is holding on Thursdays and Fridays scientific experiments, along with a workshop on car mechanics and ways to diagnose minor faults, in addition to a permanent exhibition throughout the Festival, offering daily interactive programs and shows.

Regarding QSC’s astronomical dome’s current activities, Eng. Khamis clarified that the dome is part of the club’s innovative talents program and will run over these two weeks. He added that participants in the summer program will have the opportunity to enter the dome and learn about virtual reality and programming.

He also emphasized the QSC
‘s keenness on the ongoing developments in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, and their various applications, aiming to enhance students’ skills in this field.
