Qatar to Host Seatrade Maritime Conference and Exhibition 2025.


doha: Under the patronage of HE Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, the State of Qatar is set to host the Seatrade Maritime Qatar Conference and Exhibition. This inaugural shipping event, supported by Founding Strategic Partner Mwani Qatar, will take place from February 4-5, 2025.

According to Qatar News Agency, Seatrade Maritime Group Director Chris Morley noted that Qatar, recognized as one of the GCC’s rapidly evolving economies, is gearing up for significant growth in its maritime and logistics sectors. This momentum is propelled by consistent surges in port activity and aligns with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 objectives. The event aims to position Qatar as an emerging maritime cluster with ambitious plans, attracting a regional and international audience to network, conduct business, and explore Qatar’s strategic vision.

Mwani Qatar highlighted the upcoming maritime event’s critical role in enhancing Qatar’s status as a global maritime and logistics hub. This initiative aligns with the M
inistry of Transport’s strategic plan to transform Qatar into a dynamic regional trade and logistics center.

The Seatrade Maritime Qatar Conference and Exhibition is anticipated to reinforce the growth of Qatar’s maritime sector and contribute to the expansion of its ports and logistics industries. By facilitating the exchange of global expertise, the event will bolster the national economy and support sustainable development goals.

The conference will feature a series of engaging discussions and workshops led by experts in maritime transport, ports, and logistics from around the world. Seatrade Maritime Qatar aims to enhance Qatar’s reputation as a premier investment destination, closely aligning with the goals of the Third National Development Strategy for 2024-2030 and the Qatar National Vision 2030.

A key component of Seatrade Maritime Qatar is its content program, which will gather local, regional, and international speakers to discuss and debate the conference’s central theme: “Unlocking opportunity
and potential in Qatar.” Topics of focus include shipping safety and sustainability, maritime energy transition, the digital maritime industry, local industry talent development, offshore expansion, and financing technological advancements and green fleets.
