Speaker praises Bahrain’s role in spreading values of coexistence

Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, has affirmed that tolerance, coexistence and peace are deeply rooted in the Bahraini society, noting that these valued have been strengthened through pioneering projects and global initiatives, under the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Speaker noted that the Council of Representatives is keen to use take advantage of parliamentary diplomacy to highlight Bahrain’s rich cultural and civilised features, as well as its multicultural and diverse society that is known for its adherence to humsnitarian and national values.

Al-Musallam made the statements while receiving here today the Bahrain Association for Tolerance and Religion Coexistence (Ta’Ayoush) Chairman and members.

The speaker commended the role played by civil society in spreading the values of tolerance, coexistence and peace, reflecting Bahrain’s global role in the humanitarian and civilisational fields.

Buzaboon showcased the plans and programmes of Ta’Ayoush. He expressed his gratitude to the Speaker for supporting NGOs that contribute to consolidate Bahrain’s values of coexistence, tolerance and peace.
