The Ministry of Municipality Organizes an expanded Awareness meeting with Food Delivery Companies

On Monday morning, the Ministry of Municipality represented by the Municipal Affairs Sector, organized an expanded awareness meeting with all home food delivery companies, under the slogan ?Safe Food? aiming at raising awareness of the health requirements and standards that must be met at all stages of the food chain, particularly the stage of transferring the final food product in order to preserve the safety of the food items and provide safe and secure food.

A number of directors of municipalities, directors of Municipal Control Departments, heads of the Health Control Sections in all municipalities and a number of specialized inspectors attended the meeting.

In the speech of the Ministry of Municipality delivered by the director of the Municipal Control Department at Al Sheehaniya Municipality, Mr./ Majed Al Zeidan, he thanked all the officials of food delivery companies for their continuous efforts and cooperation in delivering the food items to the customers in accordance with the established health requirements and standards. He indicated that food delivery companies have recently become an integral part of the stages of the food chains.

He indicated that the coming period will witness a high turnout from customers for electronic applications for food delivery coinciding with hosting major events by the State of Qatar, which requires increasing the awareness on health aspects to preserve the health and safety of all citizens, residents and visitors. Mr. Majed Al Zeidan confirmed that providing safe and secure food to all customers is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Municipality, believing in the importance of activating the awareness role, building capacities and unifying efforts among all partners. This awareness meeting completes mini-meetings organized by each municipality separately with food delivery companies within its administrative boundaries during the past weeks.
