Riyadh: King Saud University has achieved a significant scientific milestone having 14 out of 26 Saudi scientific journals included in the Clarivate Web of Science (WOS) Master Journal List for 2023.
These journals are now classified in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI).
Most of the journals have seen an improvement in their quartile ranking as per the list issued by Clarivate Journal Analytics for the year 2023.
On this occasion, King Saud University’s Acting Rector Dr. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Salman stressed that this accomplishment is in line with the university’s objective regarding global rankings, which are aligned with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, and that it reflects the strong support of the leadership for science and scientists.
