Martyred by occupation bullets in Tulkarm


A citizen was martyred at dawn today, Saturday, by bullets from the occupation forces in the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm.

Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in the city of Tulkarm announced this morning the death of the young man, Moamen Omar Abu Asal (22 years old), as a result of the critical injury he sustained during the occupation forces’ storming of the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm.

The Red Crescent said, “Our crews dealt with a 20-year-old martyr at dawn today, who was shot in the back by live bullets in Anabta, east of Tulkarm, and he was transferred to the hospital

General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Unveils Operational Plan for Hajj Season 1445 AH

Makkah: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of Two Holy Mosques announced yesterday that all facilities are ready to welcome pilgrims.

The authority reiterated the readiness of all facilities and services, which function at the highest level and enjoy advanced infrastructure. These include cooling and air conditioning systems, fans, audio and visual systems, as well as the door systems of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. Escalators and elevators, means of transportation within the Two Holy Mosques, and special pathways for pilgrims are also prepared.

The area around the Grand Mosque has been arranged to facilitate the move of electric vehicles for Tawaf and Sa’i, and bathrooms and ablution areas have been prepared for the elderly and people with disabilities.

The Department of Services and Systems at the Two Holy Mosques operates round the clock to ensure a spiritual environment for pilgrims, so that they may perform their rituals with ease, and to maintain a steady supply of Zamzam
water to the two holy mosques.

To enrich the experience of the pilgrims, exhibitions, including virtual, introduce them to the landmarks of the two holy mosques, offering educational content to deepen religious understanding and enhance the spiritual and emotional connection to the two holy mosques.

The authority has mobilized 5,138 workers to ensure the daily cleaning and disinfection of the Grand Mosque, under the supervision of 400 employees operating 24 hours a day. This is carried out with the help of 4,000 pieces of modern equipment and machinery.

Moreover, 68 screens have been prepared providing guidance in 53 languages, while lessons and sermons are translated in 10 languages.

The authority has also prepared 140 doors to facilitate entry and exit at the Grand Mosque during the Hajj season, and operates 251 golf carts, all part of the operational plan for Hajj season 1445 AH. Some 10,000 manual carts are available at 20 sites throughout the Grand Mosque and its courtyards.

The authority has also p
repared 20,000 Zamzam containers, as well as 3,442 bathrooms which are cleaned and sterilized daily.

KSrelief Distributes 150 Shelter Bags in River Nile State, Sudan

River Nile State, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 150 shelter bags to the neediest and displaced families inside a shelter center in Al-Damer locality in the Nile River State of the Republic of Sudan, benefiting 863 individuals, as part of a project to provide urgent shelter aid to the Republic of Sudan this year.

This comes within the framework of a series of relief and humanitarian projects implemented by the Kingdom through the KSrelief to help the brotherly Sudanese people due to the humanitarian crisis they are going through.

Makkah Health Cluster Conducts 6 Open Heart Surgeries, 68 Cardiac Catheterizations for Pilgrims in a Month

Makkah: Makkah Health Cluster provided services to more than 6,897 pilgrims who visited the emergency departments in its affiliated hospitals from the beginning of Dhu al-Qi’dah until the 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah. This is part of the comprehensive services prepared by the Ministry of Health to care for the pilgrims.

The cluster reported that 2,034 pilgrims visited healthcare centers, with six open-heart surgeries and 68 heart catheterization procedures conducted this season, ranging from therapeutic to diagnostic operations. Additionally, there were 160 kidney dialysis sessions, and health awareness teams educated over 220,000 pilgrims through various electronic means, digital screens in the Grand Mosque areas, and on-field visits in the holy capital’s streets and squares.

The cluster also noted that 805 pilgrims were admitted to hospital wards, with 176 cases admitted to intensive care units and 23 endoscopies performed for pilgrims. Only two cases of heat exhaustion were recorded.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Meets with UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for the Ocean

San José, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Affairs Envoy Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met in the Costa Rican capital, San José, with UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for the Ocean Peter Thomson, on the sidelines of the High-Level Event on Ocean Action.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United Nations in various fields, especially those related to oceans and marine resources.

The meeting was attended by CEO of the National Center for Wildlife Dr. Mohammed Qurban, Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Peru Dr. Hassan Al-Ansari, and Director General of the Office of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Khaled Al-Anqari.

Makkah: Motawifs Pilgrims for South-East Asia Countries Company (Mashariq) has welcomed over 300,000 pilgrims from 18 countries to Makkah to perform Hajj.

Mashariq Board Member and CEO Waleed Mohammed Rasheedy emphasized the company’s commitment to providing maximum comfort and facilitation during pilgrims’ stay.

This, he said, comes in line with the Kingdom’s directives to care for pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, ensuring the provision of top-notch services and facilities for them to perform their rituals in a spiritual atmosphere.

IsDB Group’s ITFC Allocates $ 3.8 billion for Energy Sector Funding in 2023 for Member Countries

Jeddah: The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has allocated a total of $ 3,808 million to finance the energy sector.

This represents 55% of the total trade finance approvals for the fiscal year, prioritizing support for member countries of the IsDB Group and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), especially the least developed member countries.

The ITFC indicated today that it is working to advance progress in line with its mission to ‘promote trade and improve lives’. The corporation prioritizes raising living standards by ensuring access to adequate energy supplies. Since its establishment in 2008, the ITFC has provided over $49 billion to this key sector.

Speaker of Arab Parliament Commends Saudi Arabia’s Efforts in Promoting Culture of Human Rights

Cairo, Arab Parliament Speaker and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Observatory for Human Rights Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi has praised the significant steps taken by several Arab countries in the field of protecting and promoting the culture of human rights, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This came in a speech by Al-Asoumi during the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Observatory for Human Rights of the Arab Parliament in its second session, held today in Cairo.

He noted the pioneering and accelerated steps to promote human rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praising the remarkable developments achieved as part of its Vision 2030. This vision has introduced many programs and legislation and contributed significantly to the empowerment of women.

He added that this progress is reflected in the international confidence shown by the unanimous selection of the Kingdom’s representative to chair the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).

The Speaker
of the Arab Parliament stressed that the Arab Observatory for Human Rights will continue to strongly support the development of the Arab human rights system, promote the culture of human rights, and strengthen their enforcement mechanisms in accordance with objective mechanisms and standards.
