Bahrain expresses solidarity with Kuwait over Al Mangaf fire


Manama, The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed sympathy and solidarity with the State of Kuwait following a fire in a building in Al Mangaf in Kuwait’s southern Ahmadi Governorate, which claimed tens of casualties.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended the Kingdom’s sincere condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of Kuwait and the families and relatives of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

Housing Minister receives British Ambassador


Manama, Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, received Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, and winners in the Ambassador for a Day competition.

The competition was organised by the British embassy in Bahrain for females between the ages of 15 and 18.

During the meeting, the minister commended the outcomes of the competition, which aims to equip young women with leadership and management skills.

For his part, the ambassador highlighted the historical Bahrain-UK relations and the Kingdom’s advancement in various domains.

The Ambassador commended the minister’s interest in the competition and emphasised its importance in developing diplomatic skills, confidence, and leadership among young Bahraini women.

Youth Minister receives British Ambassador, competition winners


Manama, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received Alastair Long, British Ambassador to Bahrain, and the winning students in the Ambassador for a Day competition, launched by the British Embassy.

Minister Tawfiqi highlighted the strong Bahraini-British relations and cooperation.

The minister congratulated the winners of the competition; Al Hanouf Mohamed Sahwan, Joud Al Awadhi, and Zaina Fayyaz.

She added that the ministry supports all programmes that develop girls’ skills and empower them in various fields, expressing her appreciation to the ambassador and the embassy organising this distinguished competition.

For his part, the ambassador expressed his interest to enhance cooperation between the two kingdoms, particularly in the youth sector. He lauded the minister’s support for the development of youth programmes in Bahrain.

Foreign Minister meets UK FCDO State Minister for Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, United Nations


Amman, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, the Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and United Nations at the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office , on the sidelines of Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza Conference.

The two sides reviewed the strong historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and means to further enhance them in various domains.

They also discussed the latest security, humanitarian, and political developments in the Gaza Strip and the Arab and international efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire, deliver humanitarian aid, and protect civilians, in addition to advancing peace efforts in the region.
